Our Wedding Anniversary
It really is so hard to believe that it has been 15 years since Debbie and I were married.  Our day was very intimate.  We rented a house on Ft. Myers beach.  The ceremony took place near a patch of trees just feet from the beach. 

Deb and I had an awesome sushi dinner then I surprised her by taking her to the very house we were married in.  Needless to say she was touched and we walked the beach enjoying the sunset.

I love you, babe!  I love our life together.

Wedding Season is in full swing.  Every Saturday in October is booked and we are meeting with lots of couples planning spring weddings.

This morning we met with another great couple.  The bride is from the Chicago area, also where Debbie is from.  The brides mom lives locally in Naples.  The couple is planning a February destination wedding with Kathy Resop, Side by Side Weddings, at the LaPlaya Resort in Naples.
 
We are so looking forward to serving them on the biggest day of their lives.  We are also looking forward to an event we have never seen before in our 9 years of capturing weddings...the groom is scheduled to drop his pants at 10:25!  Ahhhh, another great couple!

Love That Dress! Lee County Raises $120,000 to help the PACEGirls - PACE Center for Girls.

Nearly 900 guests in search of bargain priced dresses and a fun time attended the third installment of Lee County's Love That Dress! on Wednesday, August 31 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Estero.

Co-chaired by Christin Collins and Amy Sanford and presented by title sponsor WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET the event offered over 4,000 new and gently worn dresses, hundreds of designer shoes and a lavish silent auction helping to raise over $120,000 for PACE Center for Girls of Lee County. From the total raised, $5,000 will be allocated to PACE Lee's capital campaign fund to open a new Center in the coming years.

 

"We could not be more thrilled with the results of Love That Dress! From the first dress collection party hosted in March until the big day, the community really stepped-up to make this the ultimate feel-good shopping spree of the year," said Collins, "We so appreciate our hardworking volunteers for committing to this labor of love to help our PACE girls."

Confessions of an Animal Hoarder

      OK, there is no denying that we love filming weddings.  However, when we are asked to do a cool job like filming an episode for Animal Planet we jump at it. 

I am sure by now, just about everyone has seen an episode of Hoarders.  Well imagine a home where the owner hoarded cats.  Yep....live cats.  The filming took 4 days and was filmed at a home in nearby Punta Gorda.  

The episode is titled, 27 year old keeps cats in freezer, and is scheduled to air tonight, Sept 7 at 10:00 pm and tomorrow Sept 8 at 9:00 pm.

We are grateful for this opportunity.  We'll update you on when the episode airs.

If you are an animal lover or not, this episode is not for the weak at heart.   I almost left with a camera bag full of kittens.

It is obvious that we love doing weddings, but when we have the honor of doing a wedding for someone we know, it makes it that much more special.  What stands out to me is the thought that went into making sure their wedding was true to who they were.  An example of this is that we have heard toasts from moms and dads and sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles even children.  At this wedding, Katie made a toast.  A very heartfelt toast at that.  Best wishes to you both.
