Military Weddings
We have been booking quite a bit of requests lately for wedding videos for people who's fiance is in the military. We have a special place in our hearts for those who are serving our county and for the loved one at home. Peter and I have made some provisions for these couples:
1. Faster turn around of their final production
2. Flexibility of deposit in the even deployment date changes
3. Custom package design to fit their wedding day
3. Elimination of credit card convenience fee
4. An extra dvd
copy

I have also met other wedding vendors in the area who's hearts have been touched by the military. One of them is Karen with Kakes by Karen. I would be happy to share these amazing vendors with you, just contact me at debbie@peterivideo.com.

Are you a vendor that has somethings special to share with military couples? Let me know. I'll add you to my referral list!

WEVA - Wedding and Event Videographers Association
This year's week long conference was held at the Orland Hilton. Thanks to all the great staff!
If your planning a trip to Orlando, make sure you check out this brand spanking new hotel.

Peter and I divided and conqured 70 training sessions, yes, he took all the technical classes and I hit all the sessions on marketing. I was so impressed with the amazing speakers sharing how they have been successful and showing us how to do the same.

We came together briefly when we attending the trade show. It was a complete role reversal at this "shopping" experience. There were representatives from the leading camera companies to bridal magazines in attendance. Peter finalized his next camera, I discussed national advertising opportunities. Wait till you see the cool DVD folio's that we are including in our packages.

We did make sure to take sometime for us. A trip down to the jacuzzi followed by a journey in the lazy river allowed us to have "mommy and daddy time" as we explained it to Killian.

The highlight of my week was the opportunity to meet lots of great people in the video industry.

Well, better run. We need to rest up after this high voltage week!
Peter and I are jazzed about implementing our findings next week!

Life Happens.
We are lucky enough to help so many people preserve the memory of their wedding day. Our latest project was a life celebration presentation of former Sgt. Ryan Willin's life. This DVD will be planned during the memorial service for Ryan this evening. Our prayers go out to Tia, their 4 children, Pete and Sandy, and all of Ryan's friends and family.

FTD is short for Frontotemporal Dementia. In the elderly, its numbers pale when compared to Alzheimer’s but in the young and middle aged, it is a near match. From the research we have now we know that for some there is a genetic link. We know of no certain link for Ryan, putting him in the category with 60% of FTD sufferers. It is believed to be caused by a mutant protein, the same mutant protein that causes ALS, better known as Lou Gherig’s Disease. There is no treatment, there is no way to slow or alter the progression and there is no cure. FTD is always fatal.

What are these symptoms? Unlike Alzheimer’s, which first robs memory and only later personality, FTD robs first personality and then memory. Clogged by the mutant protein the brain cells in the frontal and temporal lobes slowly die, taking with them everything that made the person who they were, for it is in the frontal lobe that our personalities our housed, our likes and dislikes, our beliefs and opinions. Long before an FTD patient physically breathes their last their personality disappears.

Some of the behaviors are bizarre. For a complete list of symptoms please check out

Dear Peter and Debbie,

Leigh and I were blown away by our wedding video! We love it! You did an absolutely fantastic job and we will highly recommend you to all of our family and friends in the future (my cousin Tim is using you for his upcoming wedding – we let him and his fiancĂ© know how completely happy we were with your work).

Anyway, if any of your clients are on the fence about using your services, feel free to have them contact us. We are having a big party this weekend to show everyone the video. You did a wonderful job of capturing every detail of our ceremony – priceless. The scenes you shot of TJ brought everyone to tears. The interviews, dancing and singing at the reception were hilarious! The editing and music you added were phenomenal!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. We hope you enjoyed he process as much as we enjoyed the final product. It was a pleasure doing business with you. We loved working with an artist who takes so much pride in his work – it shows!

Sincerely, Jason & Leigh & TJ Williamson
